Kratos Defense & Security Solutions

Working on the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) team.

January 2025 - Present

Developer

Galactic Contention
  • Building community-oriented software tools in Python for a Star Wars mod in Squad serving over 300,000 players. Developed a Discord bot that aggregates player statistics, server analytics, and live server status through integrations with RCON, external databases (such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL), and third-party APIs, enabling seamless access to community and gameplay information.
  • Continuing collaboration with staff and community members to design, implement, and refine new features based on player feedback and operational needs.
August 2023 - May 2025

Software Lead & Team Captain

FIRST® Robotics, First Tech Challenge
  • Served as Lead Software Developer during our transition from VEX Robotics to FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), later being selected as Team Captain to coordinate the team's technical and organizational transition.
  • Established the team's software development workflow by creating technical documentation, managing GitHub and Slack infrastructure, evaluating third-party libraries, organizing meetings, and on-boarding new members.
  • Led development of autonomous robot functionality and mentored junior programmers. Designed an internal command-driven API to standardize interaction between robot subsystems including the drivetrain, lift, and claw, improving code organization and maintainability.
November 2022 - May 2025

Lead Developer & Researcher

CARLOW Center for Medical Innovation

Developed software for automation, data analysis, and center-funded research projects, including:

  • Created automation tools for our partnered VR platform (Acadicus) to configure runtime settings during launch, reducing loading times.
  • Ran analytics on project data and research via Numpy and Matplotlib for other students.
  • Researched and engineered an affordable robotic hand prosthesis (custom 3-D printed hardware) integrating brain-control interface (BCI) technology via the Neurosity Crown and SDK. Achieved 80% accuracy in signal recognition with <300ms latency. Presented research and product at the L.A County Science Fair.
May 2021 - November 2022

Senior Developer

Advancius Network
  • Led development of a Minecraft server with 900,000+ logins and 200+ concurrent users, developing gameplay systems in Java including new game modes, content updates, and server-side mechanics. Additionally handled bug reports submitted by both staff and players.
  • During the latter portion of my time here I also mentored and trained new developers and led them through projects to ensure their growth.
  • Created internal tools for staff and streamlined moderation workflows by implementing in-house anti-cheats and chat filters for moderation. This also includes an update to the reporting system which is now integrated with the anti-cheat.
